Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

As the days continue to grow gloomy, and the rain comes in spurts I decided to make something warm and fulfilling for dinner. I made chicken tenderloins yesterday for lunch to make a wrap, alongside a tossed salad. I had a lot of chicken leftover today and decided to make soup. I cut each chicken strip into 4s and put them in the pot. I added two 16 oz. cans of chicken broth along with about three or four whole carrots. I added about 2 1/2 cups of bow tie pasta. I added salt, pepper, and celery salt to the mix and let it simmer on low for about 4 hours while I did chores around the house. I mixed it every hour or so in between.  At the end of the night, after a nice hot shower and comfy pajamas I made a nice big bowl of it and relaxed to the sound of the rain. It was the perfect winding down to my day. Chicken noodle soup is such a simple, yet satisfying dish. I hope everyone is enjoying their day so far.

Remember,

Be happy and smile (:
