Chicken BBQ

Hello, everyone!

I know many people love a good barbeque question, with or without vinegar and coleslaw. Just the thought of it makes my mouth water lol. Since I don’t eat pork I made a healthier alternative which is chicken barbeque. I purchased a rotisserie chicken and ate off of it for about 2 days and then I decided to shave the rest of the meat off. I set my oven to 300 degrees and added the meat, about 3/4th of a bottle of honey bbq sauce, added a dash of pepper and a sprinkle of cinnamon. I let it “cook” for about 2 hours or so and then left it on warm until I was ready to eat it.

The final product was delicious! The meat was even more tender than before and the sauces and seasonings were perfect together! I put a good helping on a whole wheat hamburger bun and had water as my beverage of choice.

If you’re wanting to try a new alternative to BBQ then I would definitely try this out, or even use turkey.
