Sweet & Sour Sunday

Good evening everyone! I tried another crockpot dinner and it was delicious!! I made sweet and sour chicken with brown rice. I prepped everything Saturday night and then I put it all together in the crockpot at 7 Sunday morning before I left to go to work. By the time I got home from work around 2:30, the house had an amazing, mouth-watering aroma and the chicken was so tender. I turned the crock pot on “keep warm” until we were ready to eat it around 7. The outcome was perfect and there were plenty leftovers. Below I will include the recipe that I used and pictures of the process as well. I hope you guys will enjoy and decide to try it out yourself!

Recipe:

3/4 cups ketchup

2 cloves garlic, minced

6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (I used breast tenderloins, cooks better and breaks apart easier)

Red, yellow, and green peppers

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup white vinegar

4 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

red pepper flakes/ cayenne if you like a kick

pineapple chunks ( I used about half a can)
